The software is one of the areas where I really see how they have made things so cost-effective. With that being said the wire is long and strong and shouldn’t get into your way if routed properly. I’m typically not a fan of wired accessories but in order to keep something like this cost-effective sacrifices have to be made. The wire is not detachable and has a cloth braid cover over it. Additionally, the different modes can be cycled through by holding Fn and pressing F9. All modes can have the speed and brightness adjusted by pressing the FN key along with either the page up or page down for the brightness or the + or – for the speed. Starry sky, light flashing, light hedging parallelly, spectrum, breathing, always-on, ripple spreading, press and lighten, on click line lighting, sine wave, torrential rain tide, wave, rainbow rotation, and flowers.

It’s either full up or full down limiting your options quite a bit. A difference in transparency might make the RGB less effective.įold-out feet on the underside of the keyboard allow a slight angle adjustment but with only 2 options for height adjustments, we can see one of the corners that were cut in order to keep this keyboard affordable.
If you do plan on switching out the keycaps be cautious on which ones you choose to replace them with. Some other reviewers have claimed the keys are slippy but that is not an issue I have personally encountered. A slightly textured feel to the keycaps keeps your fingers from sliding all around. The keyboard is running the common double shot abs keycaps which should make any changes to the keycaps as simple as plug and play. Just double-check the version you are getting, and if you don’t like super clicky keyboards it would be worth looking for an older version. It appears that older models of this keyboard used mechanical-like membrane switches but they have now upgraded them to full mechanical switches.
Gaote/Outemu Blue Switches are nice and clicky and rated for 50,000,000 presses, but be cautious. Full N-key rollover and anti-ghosting round everything out making for a really good budget gaming keyboard.įor those who don’t know Ghosting is the problem that some keyboard keys don’t work when multiple keys are pressed simultaneously. A sleek and minimalistic design paired with the RGB really gives the feel of a keyboard that should be much more expensive than it really is. There are not any dedicated media keys but Pressing the Fn key with one of the F keys acts as a replacement. Included in this bundle were the keyboard, the Havit MS733 RGB Programmable Gaming Mouse, and a headset that for the life of me I can’t find a model number for, all of which will be reviewed separately.
